HEAF (Harlem Educational Activities Fund)

HEAF is a multi-year college access and success program in Harlem that serves the often-neglected “forgotten middle” – neither struggling nor excelling in school – through an eleven-year continuum beginning in 6th grade and extending through their college careers.

MFF support will allow HEAF to replicate the highly successful Harlem-based Summer Quest academic enrichment program at its Brooklyn site and serve an additional 100 low-income middle school students.

"Middlebury has always been my top choice college, and I wouldn’t have been accepted if it weren’t for the support I had here at HEAF, I want to thank HEAF for supporting me throughout high school, especially for helping me with my college applications, improving my SAT scores, and giving me the confidence that helped me stand out over other applicants.”
